An elderly man died after falling out of a pickup truck despite first aid care. The incident occurred after the Canada Day parade. A 65-year old man died after he fell out of the back of a pickup truck that had left the Canada Day parade in Abbotsford.
According to Abbotsford Police Sgt. Judy Bird, the man fell out of the Dodge Ram truck. He was struck by the trailer it was pulling. The man sustained serious injuries and was transported to a healthcare facility but he later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Simon Avenue and Gladwin Road. The truck that was involved participated in the parade on behalf of the Abbotsford Indo-Canadian Senior’s Society. Bird added that the driver of the pickup stayed on the scene and cooperating with the investigators.
The incident is still under investigation. The victim was identified on social media as Sohan Singh Sidhu who was visiting from India.
